National Renewable Energy Laboratories COMICS
I was contacted by Chromosphere to help work on character designs and storylines for different comics with the National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL). The concept behind the comics was to focus on a group of kids who are interested in sustainable energy and collect “joules” tangible sprites representing energy that they can see with their special equipment. This series is to help encourage kids to become more interested in using sustainable energy and to consider careers that utilize and explore sustainable energy.

Volume 3 - nuclear energy
We were working with the Office of Nuclear Energy / the US Department of Energy on this volume. There was a lot of back and forth about how to depict a nuclear reaction and how to break down a lot of complex info in a way that kids would understand.
I learned a lot along the way and it was so much fun!
